KLC Seafood: From Vietnam’s Aquaculture Farms to Tables Worldwide

14/01/2026

Operating across aquaculture, processing, and seafood import and export, KLC Seafood is a member company of the KLC Group ecosystem. The company is being developed with a long-term vision centred on quality, supply consistency, and traceability.

From its inception, KLC Seafood has pursued a fully integrated supply chain model, managing operations from farming and processing through to export. This approach enables the company to serve international markets with stringent requirements for product specifications, volume, and transparency—particularly China.

A Strategic Pillar of KLC Group’s Seafood Business

Within the KLC Group ecosystem, KLC Seafood serves as the core company for seafood import and export. The company participates directly across the value chain, from developing farming areas and organising procurement and preliminary processing to processing and standardising products for export.

KLC Seafood was established not simply to expand KLC Group’s business portfolio, but to build a company with strong operational capabilities that can meet increasingly stringent export market requirements for quality, supply consistency, and product traceability.

Export-Oriented from the Outset

KLC Seafood was established on the practical experience of Phát Lợi and Gia Thịnh Phát, the predecessor operating companies within the ecosystem. From the beginning, the company adopted an export-oriented business model and prioritised strategic investment in its supply chain.

This direction allows KLC Seafood to progressively strengthen its operational capabilities, control incoming materials, standardise processes, and establish a foundation for stable growth. It also aligns with KLC Group’s long-term strategy in seafood and international trade.

Fully Integrated Supply Chain Model

KLC Seafood regards its integrated supply chain as the foundation of its operations.

The company currently operates approximately 556 hectares of partner farming areas across Cam Ranh, Vạn Ninh, and Sông Cầu, with an estimated annual supply capacity of around 12,000 tonnes. These areas operate through long-term partnerships with coordinated farming and harvesting procedures, enabling the company to secure raw material supplies and control incoming quality.

Alongside its farming network, the supply chain is supported by close coordination between KLC Seafood’s member companies, Phát Lợi and Gia Thịnh Phát. Their integration helps maintain consistency in product quality and specifications while ensuring batch-level traceability.

Product Portfolio

Export Products

KLC Seafood has developed a focused and selective export portfolio aligned with its supply chain control capabilities and the stable demand of Asian markets, particularly China.

Its core export products include lobster, spotted babylon, and sea urchin roe:

  • Lobster is the company’s flagship export product and accounts for a significant share of its export portfolio. Its supply requires rigorous incoming quality control, cold chain management, and long-distance transportation capabilities.

  • Spotted babylon complements the company’s core portfolio, helping maintain consistent export operations while allowing flexibility in response to market developments.
  • Sea urchin roe is positioned as a high-value seasonal product that requires strict preservation controls and batch-level standardisation.

Domestic Products

In addition to exports, KLC Seafood maintains a diverse portfolio for the Vietnamese market, including grouper, pomfret, blue swimming crab, oysters, various clams, giant freshwater prawns, geoduck, and other fresh and live seafood products.

The domestic portfolio allows the company to expand its market coverage, maintain continuity across the supply chain, and provide a stable foundation for its overall production and commercial operations.

Operational and Quality Control Capabilities

KLC Seafood operates through a coordinated system designed to maintain consistency in quality, product specifications, and batch-level traceability.

Its food safety management system follows HACCP standards, helping control risks throughout production and processing while meeting the requirements of importing markets.

Operational standardisation goes beyond regulatory compliance. It also strengthens the reliability of KLC Seafood’s products and brand across the export supply chain.

Long-Term Development Direction

KLC Seafood is committed to sustainable development, ensuring that each seafood product not only meets export standards but also carries the story of Vietnam’s coastal regions, people, and operational capabilities.

From Vietnam’s aquaculture farms to tables around the world, KLC Seafood is progressively bringing the finest of the country’s seas to global markets, with the ambition of becoming a trusted symbol of premium Vietnamese seafood in the global value chain.
